Nigel Leehane, an ISEP Principal Environmental Auditor and former chair of the International Standardization Organization’s environmental auditing sub-committee, has 30 years’ experience of environmental auditing. He was one of the UK’s technical experts supporting the work of ISO on ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19011:2018, the guidance standard for auditing management systems, and was co-convenor of the working group developing ISO 17012 guidelines for the use of remote methods in auditing management systems.
He has participated in and managed audit programmes for numerous large organisations, including many assignments overseas. This has enabled him to develop contacts with specialist auditors and technical support in many parts of the world.
